PAAS Foundation Primary School

In 2024, PAAS Foundation opened a primary school in Seerana Kals, a remote Himalayan village where children previously walked up to 1.5 hours each way to attend school. The school is now located within the village, giving young children safe access to education.

PAAS trains and employs local women as teachers and staff, strengthening both education and local livelihoods. The school currently serves children ages 4–6, with plans to expand to higher grade levels.

Health and Nutrition Project

In 2024, PAAS Foundation launched a six-month nutrition pilot program in Seerana Kals to address child malnutrition and household food insecurity.

The program provides essential nutrition and micronutrients for children ages 0–5, offers short-term food assistance while supporting long-term food security through the provision of livestock, seeds, and related resources to help families establish a degree of self-sufficiency in food, and delivers nutrition education to mothers that encourages healthy and appropriate food preparation practices.
